About Principle Solutions

Finding decent people has always been a challenge. We were there ourselves in the early years. But over the past two decades, through running our own construction company, and managing a series of complex remediation projects, we’ve learnt a lot about how to get the best out of construction teams.

After a complex £60 million project came to an end, we had whole teams of decent workers with capacity, and realised there was a gap in the market for a different kind of construction recruitment agency. And so Principle Solutions was born, founded around two key principles:

About John Burgess

John’s known for his ability to take a very complex construction issue, break it down into a clear plan of what’s needed to fix it and communicate that to everyone involved (while also making sure the documentation and recording is spot on.)

With experience in the Financial Services marketplace, John also has excellent analytical discipline in everything he does, allowing him to systematically work through processes and establish exactly what needs to be done. His mantra is “the only way to do anything is to do it right” so he has high standards as to who he’ll choose to employ!

Having run his own successful construction company for a number of years, John was approached to work with a large developer who found themselves running into difficulties on a development in London.

After the main contractor pulled out of their contract, and the scale of their defects became apparent, John’s role quickly became one of a full remediation project, with John and his business partner leading on the planning, procurement and management of the £60 million project.

As that project came to a close, John was keen to support the teams that he’d built up over the past two decades. He began working with another construction company with temporary support, and in helping them get teams set up. It worked so well, that Principle Solutions was created so that other construction companies don’t have to deal with the nightmare that hiring temporary staff can cause.
